Haven't seen this addressed too much so I'd love to hear what people think both in terms of my situation and what they would do. I'm interested in corporate and have offers from several firms in NYC around the V20 range (White & Case, Ropes, Jones Day, and the like). Right now I'm open to anything from moving to the business side to trying to stay in a firm for the long run.
Also have a Skadden callback, but in the Delaware office (pays NYC market). I know there's no state taxes, and the CoL is insanely low compared to what I pay in NY so paying back loans and saving money would be way easier. Would the $$ benefits of Delaware, and I guess firm name benefits of Skadden, be worth it long term?

Why don't you wait until you actually have an offer from Skadden before deciding...

Considering vagueness of long term goals and obvious $$ advantages to living in DE plus Skadden name, I don't see why not.

OP here:
So I have a few offers that are going to expire right around the Skadden CB so I thought it would be useful to see how other people would view this choice instead of possibly trying to decide in a day.
Thanks!

FYI, in the OP your said "no state taxes," but there is an income tax in Delaware. In fact, Delaware's income tax isn't even all that favorable to wage earners (for example, PA's income tax is lower). No sales tax though. Shouldn't factor into your decision really as $160k will definitely go further in DE but just wanted to correct any misconception.
