I had an out-of-town screener with Fabian a few weeks ago and I'm waiting on the callback timeline.

1) Do you know the pay at Fabian?
2) Do you know how many summers Fabian is taking?
3) Do you know the timeline for CB -> offer at Fabian?
4) What are those other 2 firms you referenced?

Are there really no BYU/Utah/Mountain West folks on this forum?

1) They start graduates at $100,000 which is just a little lower than the top SLC firms (110-120k) but insist that with their benefits, lifestyle, and bonus structure that you will actually end up with the better deal at Fabian.
2) They will take 2 summers. They have taken three in the past but as the exception, generally they always take two.
3) They did callbacks this week with me plus at least two other individuals and told me that Friday would be their last callback and they would decide either then (meaning tomorrow) or by Monday. Not sure if they were thinking that Monday is Labor day, so it could be next week but I expect offers to go out tomorrow.
4) I was referencing two other individuals, not firms. But as far as I know, Utah does the process a bit early than other locations and most of the firms here have made their offers or will this week and things should all be wrapped up pretty soon.

I really appreciate the info. SLC is actually bothering me because they are so much slower than the bigger markets. Thanks again.

I am BYU too, I was just wondering if they were interviewing any UofU people since I had only heard of BYU people, and now someone out of state. I know that this summer they had a BYU and an out-of-stater as their two summers.

Just jumping in. Fabian told me they would start making decisions early this week. However, I haven't heard anything.

What are the usual deadlines for accepting an offer in SLC? I know NALP standard is 28-days, but several firms have told me they don't follow those guidelines. What have been your experiences?

Ray Quinney ding. I know workman nydegger is getting close.

Sounds like Kirton McConkie is pretty much done as well. Any more anecdotal information?

Bump for 2016. Looks like this is about the time a lot of movement started happening last year. Has anyone heard anything yet?

I am always shocked at how late SLC is compared to every major market.

Any have approximate starting compensation for small litigation places (about 15 people)?

Slightly off topic, but are there any associates at any SLC firms who can comment on the lateral process? Currently a junior at a V10 (Corp) and would like to go back to SLC in a few years. How difficult is the process? Do most associates start from year 1 or is there an opportunity to lateral?

I think some of the big firms were making offers the week after Labor Day. Could still be movement yet to come, but who knows.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
