Cleary or STB for lit? (poll)
Interested in litigation in NY. Not sure of the exact area yet. Which is generally more highly-regarded for lit? Is it close enough to go by fit?

I guess my main question is whether they're close enough to choose based off fit, or whether one objectively has significant advantages over the other. Thinking about exits; interested in eventually moving to a smaller firm.

I guess STB is more highly-regarded, but it's a marginal difference at best. I think, especially for litigation, that it's useless to draw distinctions between the V10-ish firms unless you have a specific litigation specialty that interests you. That doesn't appear to be the case here. It's not like you're turning down Williams & Connolly for Cleary NY. Pick the one you liked the best and move on with your life.

Cleary is better regarded for antitrust, Simpson has some extremely good people in certain white-collar areas like FCPA and CFIUS work.
