Good Qs to ask at offer dinners/2nd looks?
Especially for NYC firms of a similar caliber, what kinds of questions have you all been asking post-offer to distinguish? I'm sure everyone has their own criteria for what they're looking for, but maybe there are some common Qs we all should be asking now that the ball is in our court.
Thanks!
Thanks!

I would background check and drug test them, even the partners. You can't be too careful these days. Also make sure you verify up to date immunizations.

could someone clarify what goes on during a second look? like i'm assuming it is more than a tour.
One of the firms I asked to take a second look at asked me who I want to meet with and stuff (partners, midlevels, etc). Who should I meet with? A mix? That's what I was planning on asking.

Good question, didn't think of this. I probably figure that mid-levels probably are gonna be more helpful and closers to our day to day?xael wrote:could someone clarify what goes on during a second look? like i'm assuming it is more than a tour.

Meet with Juniors. First and second years. They're the people you likely had the least amount of contact with and they're the people whose shoes you will be in. Also, they're most likely to be honest with you about the situation at the firm.
