Antitrust in Cleary NY - Advice

Post by Anonymous User » Sat Aug 22, 2015 8:51 pm

Guys, I think I messed up. I have an offer at Cleary NYC and am interested in antitrust work. I didn't interview with Cleary DC. I've recently heard Cleary DC runs most (if not all) of the antitrust work. A few qs:

1. Is this true?
2. Does anyone have experience with the type of antitrust work Cleary does in NYC?
3. Any idea about ability to get to Washington?

DC office definitely does the vast majority of antitrust work.
I'd imagine the NYC antitrust work is just litigation folks helping out on dc antitrust lit; there are some nyc associates on dc-based antitrust teams, but it's mostly dc people on the team.
Definitely possible to get to dc. Express interest and ask to split your summer.

Cleary's entire antitrust group, as far as I know, is based in DC.

Most of the V10 firms are very open to office-splitting and whatnot. All you have to do is say you're very interested in antitrust and want to split. Then, make a good impression in your DC half of the summer and voila.
