Re: D.C. Callback -> Offer Thread
It varies within firms, so it's very unlikely there is a standard answer for any particular outfit. If a firm really likes you and wants you for sure, then expect a next day callback. If the firm is a little slower in its organization, maybe this is a couple days or a week. Generally, if you're good but not great and there are other potentials, they might wait a week. Or two. or three. Given the NALP guidelines on accepting offers, it could be longer!
If you're at the callback stage and aren't a complete drooling fuckup, you should at least be an 'alternate' for getting an offer. The question is whether they want you right away or whether enough ahead of you will decline so that they get to you.

Re: D.C. Callback -> Offer Thread
I did a pre OCI interview in DC and it took like 3 weeks for them to get back with a callback. Then they scheduled the callbacks for two weeks in the future, which was basically the earliest they were willing to do it.

Cleary is good about telling you exactly when you will hear back (either way) at the end of the CB. All firms should be like that

DC 2015 Offers Thread
Thought it might be worth creating one of these. Post CB date, offer/ding date, and any other relevant info.

This isn't really useful unless you include the school. Most firms are on different timelines for different schools.

It would also be helpful to provide the callback interview date with the offer date.

Re: D.C. Callback -> Offer Thread
Skadden DC's hiring committee meets once a week and goes through all the applicants for whom all the reviews have come in. The attorneys are usually very goo about turning the reviews in the same day, so if you don't hear within ~5 business days (enough to account for maybe coming in the day after the committee meets) you're probably looking at a rejection.Anonymous User wrote:curious about Skadden DC turnaround...

Multiple offers for Skadden DC from CLS (at least 4). Also heard of A&P and Wilmer offers from CLS.

Any Cleary, DPW, Paul Weiss, or Kirkland offers? And what was the CB --> offer turnaround time on these?

Re: D.C. Callback -> Offer Thread
Cleary offers will come on the first Tuesday or Thursday after the CB as that is when the hiring committee meets and the phone calls go out immediately following that meeting. This is explained to interviewees at the end of their callback by recruiting.
