Drinker Biddle & Reath
I have a screener with Drinker Biddle tomorrow and I'm wondering if anyone has general information to share? It seems like a fairly large firm but it also pays below market? Does below market translate to less hours or better work environment? It also has a 1:1 partner to associate ratio... can I read anything into that?

They have a unique 3 month training policy where you literally just learn for first 3 months, have no billable requirements & still make equivalent to 3 months pay of $140k. Take training and mentoring seriously. Also, they didn't invite me back for a CB despite what I thought was a great interview. Hope you have better luck

wow, a 3 month training sounds like an awesome policy! I'm interviewing for the Chicago office and trying to decide if I should tell them that I am interested in litigation or corporate work... consensus seems to be that Chicago is look for more transactional peeps but Drinker Biddle seems to have almost an even split of litigation and corporate associates (according to NALP, anyways).
Can anyone speak to the culture of the firm?

Also interviewed for the Chicago office. Seemed relatively laid back, though a bit unorganized. Only hire 3 SAs though and are participating in multiple OCIs, so CBs are hard to come byAnonymous User wrote:wow, a 3 month training sounds like an awesome policy!
