Anybody ever interview with a DA at OCI?

Post by Anonymous User » Tue Aug 18, 2015 12:06 pm

I have an interview with a DA office in a major Texas city for an actual post-bar position that will become a true job upon bar passage. They are coming to my OCI and interviewing 11 people. Has anyone else ever had an initial interview like this? I know it's unusual for a DA office to come to OCI. Am I right to assume it's more of a screener than anything else? I'm happy to PM more details if needed.

It's not at all unusual for a DA's office to come to OCI on the East Coast. I had several DA interviews during OCI. You're right, it is likely a screener, but there may be a hypothetical. Search the District Attorney Office 2015 thread on her and that may be some help to you.

I'm not sure how helpful this will be, but I interviewed with a major Texas city's DA office last year. It was for a 1L summer job, but they came to campus to do interviews. It was basically a screener, but with almost all behavioral questions. "Tell me about a time when..." and stuff like that.
