I dont see this talked about much on here. I guess it can fall under the corporate umbrella in the corp v. lit debate. But how do biglaw real estate exit options look for a 2nd/3rd year associate? Are in house jobs a possibility afterward? Or is lateraling your only move?
Appreciate any input.

Re: Biglaw Real Estate Exit Options
You can go in-house but there aren't as many options - but then again there isn't as much competition either because you're specialized. Look into public REITs, commercial development companies, healthcare (seniors housing/assisted living/hospitals), most PE firms have a RE arm as well.
You'll probably get some finance experience doing real estate but I would try to get as much experience as possible as that's critical and also some environmental regulatory experience as well.

Buy investment properties while you make a lot of money; Put other money away while you're making big bucks then use it to start flipping houses and never have to work in an office again. Then sell said investment properties after renters have paid your mortgage for you
