Mass Mail Question

Post by Anonymous User » Fri Aug 07, 2015 5:09 pm

I am good friends with a firm's recruiting director. We've known each other since before I went to law school. I had an interview with her firm last week, and I think it went decently well.

However, I come to find out she took a position at a different firm in the same city. Is it still acceptable to send an application using a similar cover letter to her new firm? Even though I've repeatedly said how [last firm] is the firm I'd want to work at in the future? Or, do I just assume the new firm is a no go?
