How to follow up -- Mass Mail

Post by thisismyname » Fri Aug 07, 2015 1:10 pm

Mass mailed two weeks ago today. Specifically I'm curious how to follow up with one application. The hiring partner had his secretary ask for a writing sample a week ago. However, have't heard back since. Is this a situation that I should just leave alone or should I follow up? If so, when? Also, would I follow up with the partner or email back the secretary that asked for the writing sample?

Second question, and only asking since I'm asking the above (I know plenty of people have asked this)... Since I mass mailed fairly early (late July), when should I follow up with firms I haven't heard back from? I'm a 3L looking to switch firms from my current SA. Thank!

Are you mass mailing the hiring partner or secretary? I'd wait a while before following up
