Any firms I am overlooking?
T1 west coast lit gunner looking exclusively at NYC. Am getting exhausted with CBs and don't know if I have the energy or time to give every firm a serious look. Have CBs upcoming with S&C/Skadden/Weil/Jones Day; have been to Paul Weiss, Latham, CWT, and Willkie.
Would it be ill advised to not do CBs with any of the following firms? (assuming offers roll in). THanks in advance.

Do you have an offer?
Don't stop interviewing until you have an offer.

On one hand, if you get an offer from one of your top choice firms, there is no need to continue doing CBs with firms that are out of the running, or lower in the pecking order. For example, if Paul Weiss and Skadden are your top choice firms, and you get an offer from Paul Weiss, I could understand cancelling all other CBs, and just waiting on Skadden to see if you will have a decision to make.Anonymous User wrote:T1 west coast lit gunner looking exclusively at NYC. But it sounds like you don't know much about these other firms and you are asking us if you can safely discount them. But that's not something we can really say. Maybe one of those slightly less prestigious firms would be the perfect fit for you. Hard to tell if you don't go in for the CB. If I were you, I would do my research on each of those firms. Sure, maybe 1 or 2 you can cut out for one reason or another. But I wouldn't just cut them all out simply because you perceive them as being "safety" firms for you, or something like that.

Given that you have an offer already, common sense should dictate how you proceed from this point IMO

Ok, that's kind of what I thought. I'll make time to do most of them and power through. I don't give any shits about vault prestige or anything and care about fit more, but this is just so exhausting.

I mean, not to be an elitist about it, but considering you want litigation, if you have an offer from e.g. Paul Weiss, cancel the interviews; if your only offer is at Cadwalader, than yea do them.Anonymous User wrote:Ok, that's kind of what I thought.
