Got callback, but haven't heard about scheduling

Post by Anonymous User » Thu Jul 30, 2015 9:33 am

Hey everyone,

I interviewed with a firm last week (on the phone), and my interviewer called me back on Monday afternoon inviting me in for a callback. The firm is across the country, and he said to look out for correspondence from HR to book flights/hotels.

That was Monday, and I still haven't heard anything from the firm. Should I follow-up with my interviewer? Or is there usually some gap between hearing about a callback and actually starting to schedule it? (It may be relevant that this is still pretty early in the whole OCI process?)

Thanks a lot for any insight!

I recently had a 1.5 week gap between receiving a CB and receiving an email to schedule. It's not unheard of. I'd wait til at least Friday or Monday before emailing anyone. This is the busiest time for them, and it's not like they just forgot about you.

It's very early in the process, so they may not be up and running for callbacks yet - I'd give them a little more time. Following up with a polite/short email or call isn't a terrible idea though, it just may be a little early - I just don't think many/any schools have even started OCI/EIP/whatever yet?
