Thank you note to partner's wife?
I'm a SA at a smaller firm and last week a named partner and his wife took my SO and I to a baseball game. We had really nice box seats and we had a great time. My SO got along pretty well with the partner's wife and now she wants to send a thank you note to them. I say this is is a bad idea, mostly because I think the risk is not worth the reward. What do ya'll think?

Re: Thank you note to partner's wife?
My SO does this, I don't sign the note or anything so usually it acts as a way for her to bond with whoever she's thanking. I don't think the partner will care one way or another if your girl writes the wife a note, but there definitely isn't any downside IMO. Either the partner doesn't care or he thinks it's nice. No way in a million years the note annoys him.
Caveat: unless your girl's really aspie. In which case proofread her note lol

That sounds nice. You should let her do it.
