Reaching out to Alumni

What do you say in a cold email to an alumni from your school that you're looking to talk/meet regarding their firm?

My emails are usually something like:

Subject Line: Questions from 2L at Blah Law

Dear Person,

I am a rising 2L at Blah Law and would love to learn more about Desert & Fox's Death Valley office, particularly the maritime and admiralty law group. If you have a moment, I would love to hear more about your work at the firm, the practice area, and your career trajectory in general.

From Anon

Just an example though - this is probably a bit short but has worked for me so far. You could be more specific about the fact that you want to meet up (I was looking more for a general willingness to answer questions, whether it's email or over the phone). Maybe end with a line about seeing if they're free the following week to get coffee.
