Midwest T42's OCI thread (and Midwest diversity fairs)
I saw this from a few years back regarding a thread for all the Midwest schools. I figure this would be a good time to start this thread with MMRC and CCBA results coming out this week.
Looking at you,
WUSTL, OSU, ND, Minne, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Wisco. How's OCI going guys?
Any pre-OCI callbacks out yet?

Went through UIUC OCI and lived to tell the tale (and got an offer). Happy to answer any questions. Relied very heavily on TLS throughout OCI, so gonna try to pay it forward, etc.

I know of a CB at Polsinelli (KC). He/She is at a T10. Word is that the interviewers are extremely nice and the firm has a very good vibe. It's the applicant's top pick--he/she grew up in KC and has family there. Still waiting to hear on the firm's decision.

Did you focus on Chicago markets or secondaries for example Milwaukee? Is UIUC entirely preselect?Anonymous User wrote:Went through UIUC OCI and lived to tell the tale (and got an offer). Happy to answer any questions. Relied very heavily on TLS throughout OCI, so gonna try to pay it forward, etc.

Chicago only. I mass mailed a couple markets I have ties to with moderate success. UIUC is entirely preselect.chingwoo wrote:Did you focus on Chicago markets or secondaries for example Milwaukee? Re: Midwest T42's OCI thread (and Midwest diversity fairs)
Also let me offer quick unsolicited advice. UIUC in the past has told people to not mass mail until OCI is all over and done with. Wrong. First, the OCI/CB /offer/ding process can drag way out, deep into fall. If you don't mass mail until you get your final ding, you might be waiting until October and then it is probably too late for many places. Second, all the other TLS advice applies. Pull out every stop to get a job until you actually have one.Anonymous User wrote:Chicago only. I mass mailed a couple markets I have ties to with moderate success.
