C&F and Big Law

Post by Anonymous User » Mon Jul 06, 2015 7:12 pm

Have accepted job w/biglaw and will start in August. Taking bar in July. Pretty sure I will be issued a show cause order for a C&F issue, possibly a hearing, which in my state come after passing exam. My question is how will this affect my firm job? Will it be an issue that my license is delayed where as the rest of the associate class will likely be licensed? Better to disclose that there may be an issue to firm if they don't know? Anyone have similar situation? Any advice appreciated.

Obviously the answer is that it depends on the firm and your situation. But honestly, no, as long as the process doesn't drag. C&F can take a while and I've heard of firms waiting a year plus for associates to get licensed.

Just make sure you have your shit together and get that done as soon as you can
