People have matched up at least 3 interviewees at my office that I know about and I'm not even involved that much in hiring.

Like I agree that recruiters read TLS. I agree that they probably try to read threads where they're mentioned.

My interviewer was just fantastic, and our conversation about dog breed rankings really sparked my interest. Gosh, now I would never consider another firm!"

This is basically how I got accepted to law school.
