Big Law Managing Partner
Curious question. How much does the head managing partner at a BigLaw firm in a major market make? Lets say V10, V50, and V100?

This is most definitely a great use of the anonymous feature. God knows the information contained in this post is intensely personal.

I'd guess 80-90% of them make between 1.5-5m

Re: Big Law Managing Partner
I have from a reliable source that the managing partner of one particular V10-V50 firm pulls in around $8 million. Compensation varies year to year depending on firm performance, of course.
This isn't going to depend on vault ranking so much as gross revenue and PPP, though. Managing partners compensation will be tied to economic performance of the firm, not prestige of the firm as rated by associates. For example, John Quinn probably gets paid more than whoever runs Covington.
