Which ones are worth working for? What are their reputations? Anyone with first-hand experience?
How competitive are they? What kind of grades, WE and softs do you need?
How can I go about getting my foot in the door and/or scoring an interview?

I can give you information about this if you say what kind of work you want to do. In general, if you're going to be working at an MC firm in NY, don't expect a huge difference. In any event, you get these jobs by interviewing at OCI, or by talking to a legal recruiter (if you're looking to lateral).
