Project Finance Exit Options
I'm starting in the fall and got pigeon-holed into the Project Finance practice group when my first choice was Corporate. I'm wondering if anyone has any knowledge of exit options for PF lawyers. For context, I'm talking about from a major PF firm (think Skadden, Milbank, Latham, S&C, etc.).
Am I fucked, or are exit options decent/attainable coming from major PF firms?
TYIA.

So pigeon-holing no one can answer your question it seems.

At least not initially fucked. Broadly speaking, the stuff you do as a junior in PF is similar to stuff you'd do as a junior in parts of corporate. If you hate PF a ton after a year, you can try to lateral to a different firm into their corporate group. Laterlaing that early isn't easy, but from one of those firms you'll have a shot.
PF could be cool. Give it a shot.

LW Associate here. You can flip out of PF at LW if you prove your a good junior and the other group has room.

Good to know, broadly.Anonymous User wrote:LW Associate here. You can flip out of PF at LW if you prove your a good junior and the other group has room.
I don't think this guy is ar Latham considering Latham's free market system and him saying he's pigeon holed in a group before he has even started.
