NY pro bono requirement
I graduated last year and am currently working in a nonlegal job. I took the NY bar exam this past February, but NY has a new 50 hour pro bono requirement where you must complete 50 hours of pro bono work to be admitted. I never interned for a judge or any public interest employer during law school and so I need to volunteer those hours now, but I'm currently working a 9-6 type job and don't have the flexibility to just intern now. Does anybody have any thoughts on how I could get those hours?
