SLIP Intern - Lost security clearance forms; what to do?

Post by Anonymous User » Wed Mar 11, 2015 1:31 am

Hi, all. I am a DOJ SLIP. I sent my security clearance forms ~2 weeks ago, and it seems like they're lost in the mail.

I know I am not the first person to lose my forms in the mail -- so I anticipate all will be okay on the employment front -- but I'm scared about people having access to my SSN, data, etc. Can anyone tell me how to resolve this situation?

Thanks!

It takes the government forever to do anything, so I wouldn't assume they're lost after two weeks (unless you sent certified mail and the carrier confirmed it's lost). If the forms don't show up after a while, just start watching your credit reports more closely and flag anything unusual that comes up.
