I'm currently a mid-level M&A associate (3-5 years) at a V20 satellite office in a non-NYC major market and received an inbounds from a headhunter about a position at an F500 company in their M&A / corporate development department. It doesn't seem like this is strictly a legal role and it seems like these kinds of jobs are typically filled by ex-bankers/MBA hires. I have a pretty strong finance/M&A background from before law school too.
Anyone have an idea as to what I could expect from a compensation/hours/advancement perspective?
