Interview with Tech Company - Need Advice

Post by Anonymous User » Mon Feb 16, 2015 2:21 am

Just found out I have a 2 hour interview this Friday, and was just wondering if anyone had experience interviewing with technology companies. I struck out at OCI, and am still looking for a 2L summer job, and have my first interview in over a month, so I really hope to do well.

Sadly, my school is not the best at helping with interviews outside of typical PI or BigLaw firms, so I'm looking for some decent publications/articles or really anything that would give me an overview of what's going on. What I know so far is that it's a technology company that specializes in software for security (think passports, IDs) mainly for corporate security, and they also work with groups like TSA and the government.

My experience in software is minimal at best--so I need to be able to articulate my interest in the subject as best I can and find my way in.

Any advice, or interview tips and experiences, would be tremendously helpful. Thank you in advance.

OP - I was wondering how your interview went? Sorry, I just saw this or would have posted earlier to provide advice. I have advised others on interviewing for tech and non traditional legal 1L and 2L positions, I think its great to pursue something outside the box. This will help you down the road, even when interviewing for a firm job. Feel free to PM me for more info. Best of luck to you.
