Work music

Anyone here play music in the office? I like to have spotify going quietly as I work--usually classical or post-rock instrumental. What do you listen to?

If I really need to concentrate hard, I like orchestral movie scores (Cider House Rules, Pride & Prejudice, and Dead Poets Society are some faves).

Aside from that, whatever I'm in the mood for.

I'm listening to the instrumental hip hop beats station right now on Google Play. Not a huge fan of this station, but I share an office and it's useful to have something on to avoid getting distracted.

I usually have pandora on with stations playing classic (60s-70s) rock, probably because I've been watching a lot of The Wonder Years lately :P

EDM/House/Trance music... Something high beats per minute to keep the energy up but no lyrics to distract me

Lately it's been the Primavera Sound 2015 artist list on Spotify. However, I'm listening to the chopped and screwed remix of Little Dragon's Nabuma album right now (lol).

edit: Forgot to mention that I listen exclusively on headphones. I leave my office door open most of the time and don't want to impose my listening tastes on the secretaries outside of my office.

Stoked to see a thread about this. Is listening to music on earbuds acceptable for junior associates in most offices?

I just play through my speaker, but low enough that you can't hear unless you come into my office. I've been on spotify listening to the U137 radio station.
