Hey everyone,
I have a question. I'm moving to Indianapolis because my wife is taking a job with a major company. The upper ups at the major company have told me that it would outsource some work to any firm where I can get hired. How do I advertise to firms that hiring me can bring them several 100k per year? I applied to one of Indy's biggest firms, Bingham, by talking about my connection in the cover letter, but they rejected me. Do I need to just be blunt and say "If you hire me, you will make money?" There must be some way that lawyers get the point across without being too direct.
Follow-up: This company has grown a lot in the last 5-10 years, but its CEO is an Indian man who is very big about family and only dealing with people who he trusts. The company had been outsourcing most of its legal work to a Chicago firm, but it is getting tired of spending $3+ million on legal fees when it believes $1-2 million is more appropriate. They had already been planning to look for a new firm, but the hiring of my wife (which is happening partially as a power move to get her father to work for the company) with a husband who is looking to work for a big Indy firm means that the company can hire a new law firm while retaining the "family" connection.

I'd add it as a bullet to resume. Something like: $250K+ book of business
Guy I worked with did this at our firm to get hired
