JD preffered employment
What legal work is available to you if you have a law degree but cannot pass the bar. Which positions would become available which would not be an option with a prelaw undergraduate degree.

Banks and insurance companies have a ton of compliance positions that are JD preferred but won't car if you are licensed or not. While you don't need a legal education to get hired, it certainly helps.

Some consulting positions. Some times having a JD has you come in at a pay bump.
There are some public policy positions where it helps. But it is by no means required.

I'm a JD/MBA student so am applying for banking internships, and a lot of those positions mention that JD candidates are eligible to apply.JohannDeMann wrote:Banks and insurance companies have a ton of compliance positions that are JD preferred but won't car if you are licensed or not.
