Which background check form for USAO internships? Forum

Former USAO interns -- what form were you required to fill out for your security clearance? SF-85, SF-85P, or SF-86? Or something else?

It would be helpful to let me know when and where you interned.

I don't remember, but this has been covered endlessly. Search this forum for the various forms and you'll find it.

I have searched, but unfortunately the answers are neither recent (figured these things might change from time to time) nor consistent.

This definitely varies by office/district. I know from experience and the relevant people.

Did a 1L internship in a large-ish metro area (not CA/NY), and I had to do the SF-85 + supplemental questions that basically made it look like the SF-86. I also had to take a drug test FWIW.
