WOrking at a REIT
I want to do real estate law and I think i could get a 1L summer gig at a REIT. Even though that is not necessarily legal work, since I am K-JD do you guys think that that might be good work to do since it is at least in the same field?

Re: WOrking at a REIT
If you want to do real estate finance work, then it would probably be helpful, assuming the job won't be fetching coffee. If you'll be doing something vaguely substantive that gives you insight into a REIT and how they operate and possibly the special tax considerations they require, then yes, it would be a good gig.
