I've always been thinking of going to Central Europe one day and now after my graduation I thought why not just go for longer and work there?
More precisely, I already got my eyes on a law office in Vienna, Austria: http://www.fnm-anwaelte.at/attorneys-vienna-en
What do you think about this idea applying there? Complete madness or interesting way to go?

Re: Different career path
You will most likely either need strong ties and/or fluency in the language of the home country. The firm ain't gonna believe you're serious of building a career there any other way.
Also that firm has like three people who are attorneys. You're going to need to apply to much bigger offices than that if you want a reasonable shot of actually getting hired.

Agreed, but hey, if this is their way of subtly advertising to masses of unemployed, connection-less American lawyers for an attorney position in fricking Vienna, I'd have definitely taken them up on it a year ago and applied.
