Compliance Positions

Post by Anonymous User » Wed Oct 22, 2014 10:23 pm

Does anyone have any insight on compliance positions at banks or corporations - specifically, the hours, pay, and likelihood of adverse consequences from mistakes? I know the work is boring, other departments at your company hate you, etc., and I don't really care. I work in biglaw, the work is boring, and I hate myself. I want a job that pays somewhere in the six-figure range, although I'm fine with taking a pay cut from biglaw, that lets me leave by 6 or 6:30 barring a major emergency. I also don't want to go to jail if I fuck up and make a honest mistake at my job - is this usually reserved for the CCO?
