Are bar associations worth joining and attending once you are working?

Also, which bar associations are people usually active members of with a focus on IP? IP section of the ABA? Regional Law Associations? What are the differences in all of them?

Depends on what you're trying to get out of it.
I'm on the Board of a local bar association, so for me it is worth it and would be even if I was a general member.
I'm currently looking for another job as are some other members, but most people I know in the org have long term attorney jobs.
