Withdrawing and Resubmitting Application on Symplicity

Post by victortsoi » Sat Oct 18, 2014 6:52 pm

So I noticed a typo in my resume and want to resubmit a few applications on symplicity. Do employers see this? How does it work, especially since its weekend now? Should i withdraw and resubmit corrected resume?

Not sure if it works like this for all schools, but my school screened applications that students would submit through simplicity before sending them to employers, so its possible the employers haven't received them yet if your school does something similar.

well, since I received an email the morning after sending an application, i assume my school doesnt do this. I just withdrew and sent a couple of applications, one of them twice. (Symplicity kept sending the wrong document, or it could have been my browser). I'm thinking of calling at least one or two of them and confirming that I do want the position(s), and to apologize for the mix up. I'll put my genial hat on....

It's fine to do that, as long as it's before the deadline. I've had to on multiple occasions for not-my-fault things like "oh we want X, Y, and Z when we originally only asked for X lol," and career services told me to just withdraw and resubmit. Wound up landing me a job so yeah.

yeah, what i'm worried about is 2 or 3 "victortsoi applied, victortsoi withdrew, victortsoi applied" messages in their inboxes. I'm not unpleasant on the phone so I figure I should call and explain in a good-natured manner, conclude i am very interested...
