Follow Up Question

Post by Anonymous User » Fri Sep 26, 2014 10:51 am

Interviewed with a firm on 8/27 and checked in last Thursday on status of my application (knowing they hadn't made any decisions based on people I know at the firm). Was told they were meeting on Friday to decide on who to bring back and they would call/email me. It has been a week and I still have not heard anything and almost 1 month since the initial interview. What is the protocol to calling back again to check in? Should I wait a little longer or call today since they said they would be meeting last Friday?

The reason to follow up is to reaffirm your interest and/or let them know of expiring offers. Presumably they already know that stuff since you contacted them last Thursday. It sounds like this follow up would be more of a "what's taking so long?", and I wouldn't do that. Just wait it out.
