Opposite-coast job search while clerking

Post by Anonymous User » Thu Sep 25, 2014 11:42 am

I'm clerking in an east coast market, and want to move to the west coast (where I'm from) after I finish. My clerkship is fairly busy - 60-70 hours per week. Any tips on managing the logistics of this search? Will firms pay to fly me out as in OCI, or should I plan to tell them I'll be in the area during certain dates and fly myself out there? (The advantage of the latter is that I could set aside a week and try to fit in a few interviews, rather than having to keep going back and forth - which I imagine would not be great for keeping up with my work here.)
