When does the Biglaw ship sail?

Post by Anonymous User » Wed Sep 24, 2014 9:44 pm

How much longer do callbacks/offers keep coming out? I've heard some people still getting offers this week. But when is the cycle pretty much over and the summer classes full. Particularly interested in the LA market.

Paul Hastings LA is still looking.

Other than that, I can tell you I know a few people at my school are still waiting to hear from firms, and a few (very few) have impending callbacks coming up (these are mostly for niche practice areas that require hard science degrees or relevant work experience).

Not only is this not funny, its pretty insensitive for someone who was bragging in earlier threads about having a job.

That's amazing congrats! I've been mass mailing and following up, hopefully that'll lead to something.

Also waiting to hear back from a couple callbacks, but not holding my breath

I posted a mass mail how-to in the stickied thread that might help. Firms are still giving out callbacks in NY.

Yeah I had one CB last week through a school resume collect and one this week through mass mailing, have one on the books for next week through mass mailing, and have three more in the pipeline. All NYC, all V100.

They may be shouting "all aboard!" but the ship hasn't pushed off just yet.

Not funny, anon abuse double whammy. I had similar results--two offers in early October.

Not yet. Thought it was done for me but then today I received a V50 NY callback through mass-mailing and a DC callback for a firm I had interviewed with back at OCI.

given how egregious that DC office has been about soliciting apps, I have a feeling I know which.

It's a good firm, though. Good luck!

I would love to know the name of a DC firm still looking to fill SA spots.
