Government Position to BIG/MED Law

Post by Anonymous User » Tue Sep 23, 2014 10:20 am

Can anyone shed light on a transition from Government (post-bar clerking in DA's/AG's/USA's) to that of a position in BIG law or a medium sized law firm?

For those of you already in firms, is it common to jump into a firm from a government clerkship position? Obviously it does not carry the sane weight as a judicial clerkship...

Also, consider prior intern work for firms during law school. Any info would be great. Thanks.
