Messed up, advice on damage control needed
Had a callback with a biglaw firm for an entry level staff attorney position. Before the interview I sent them an updated resume with a few cosmetic chances, but more substantively to indicate that I just passed a relevant licensing examination. Because I am an idiot, there was an error on the new resume. Luckily, the people I interviewed with all had my original resume, with no typos.
It has been 6 days since the interview. Should I resend an updated resume with no typos, or just hope that they are continuing to use my old resume? The typo isn't the most horrific typo in the world... wrote county instead of country, and used the word in a middle of a list

I guess the damage is done. No way to control it and they probably made their decision long ago. They are not going to be like "hey he/she noticed his/her mistake, lets hire him/her"

Don't say anything
I had a minor typo on mine and never addressed it and it ended up fine. They probably won't notice

Yup, this.Pikappraider wrote:Don't say anything

A lawyer who gets a "corrected" version of something is guaranteed to pore over it to see what's different. You won't get credit for the fix, but it will ensure they'll notice the mistake.

I went through the entire OCI/CB process with a minor typo. Only one person noticed.Pikappraider wrote:Don't say anything

Maybe I should have read these comments before doing anything. I sent an email to a recruiter saying that my interviewers didn't have my updated resume so I just wanted to resend a new one so that they have it because it indicates that I passed the licensing exam. Didn't say anything about something being wrong with the old resume. Any possibility this was a harmful move?

Should be fine. Now that you've interviewed, the odds are no one will really give it much scrutiny anyway.

dont draw any attention to it. the damage is done. even worse, you could bring attention to it when they missed it in the first place.
