I'm not going to edit your cover letter but I will say that my perception is that its much tougher to go from DA -> PD than the other way around. You need to convince them that you are a True Believer with regard to being a PD and they will be super skeptical of you coming from a DA background. So I would probably go a little overboard with showing commitment to being a PD and why you are leaving prosecution behind.
