someone can correct me, but I don't think the firm is going to do as much for you as you think
you should probably be basing your choice off of other considerations

DC firms sometimes have "pipelines" where former alumni help a brother out. But the horde of 3L's with their chamber rankings and xoxo print outs from 6 years ago, who will answer this question have no fucking clue what they are. I have no clue who knows who and whatnot.sideroxylon wrote:someone can correct me, but I don't think the firm is going to do as much for you as you think

I'd probably go to Covington cause it's huge, it's DC, and it's quality.
I also assume white collar practice areas are best way to set yourself up.

Before I became Colonel of the chicken marine corps, I was an extern at the USAO in a major west coast market. Latham was a common firm where the AUSAs had worked previously. However, I spoke to recruiting directly during the summer and was told that hiring decisions were based primarily on prior (substantive and relevant) work experience & connections/network within the USAO. So grab a drumstick and start networking.
