if you have to accept b/c it is your only offer... accept and keep looking elsewhere, keep networking, and have a back-up plan
if you SA at Brown Rudnick, keep networking, and start mass mailing in July/August before 3L starts

accepted a screener from them, then saw that article, then cancelled my screener. They asked me why....never replied.

thank them for the invitation and tell them that b/c of additional research, you decided it was in your best interest to cancel... then copy the link in the email... wish them all the best in their recruiting season.

Yeah, because there's no way that the person you snide at BR could end up at another firm one day, once again with the power to make decisions about your career. Never happens.

What would be the chances of them doing this again though? They've already taken a huge hit to their rep, I don't think they can do anything but give a 100% offer rate. I really liked my cb at brown, and this is the only thing holding me back

I heard they no offered a few people this year but I can't confirm, heard it second hand. One think I've learned is that firms are not as concerned about their recruiting reputation as one might think. 160k will keep qualified people lined up.

Damn, thank you for the heads up. Have a CB with them, but also have another offer that I like...Perhaps I should cancel.

I mean if brown rudnick is your only offer than take them so if you don't have any offers don't cancel your CBs
