They would at least call/write to let me know about it, yes?

That's not a no offer. A no offer is when you are a summer associate with a firm as a rising 3L and don't receive an offer to return to the firm as a full time associate upon graduation.

OP here. Yes, I'm referring to the firm at which I had an SA this summer. I have heard nothing since then. DF, thanks for the reassurance.

If they're a NALP firm this is pretty weird b/c the deadline at most places to accept a return offer is Oct 1

You should probably give someone a call. September is a long wait.

Yes, they are a NALP firm. I just learned that no one else in my office has heard back yet, either. They must just be taking their time making decisions...

If they were going to offer everybody I can't help but think they would have had more contact. At my firm and most of my friends' firms, people were told we're all getting offers before the program even ended. I hope you have been mass mailing, and will continue to mass mail. If it's one person they're not sure about I'm sure they would have let some of you know generally by now. They know it's a big deal for you.

I've got a friend a V30 who is still waiting to hear back. When he emailed the firm earlier this week, they said they will have decisions "soon." My friend said his exit interview went well. I'm not sure what to take from that, but it might be comforting to know that you're not the only one in this situation.
