Greetings!
I'm hoping someone can give some advice here.
Basically, I don't know what the bathroom setup will be at my job, which starts in two weeks. However, I need a single-stall/unisex situation.
Worst case scenario is that there is no such setup there...and then what? Anyone dealt with this? Is my only option to talk to someone in HR? What, if anything, could they possibly do to fix it? Also, I'm not necessarily trying to out myself at work right away...that's something I'd prefer to share later on after I get a better sense of the environment, yaknow?
Thanks for the help.

Re: Bathrooms
I'd imagine that something like that probably does eventually have to go through HR. But if you're not out, one potentially better option is to go through a member of the firm's LGBT affinity group, if it has one. You'd still have to out yourself, but hopefully only to one person, and to someone who will be more understanding than your average firm employee. Then that person can go to HR in his/her capacity as a member of the affinity group.

Sounds like a good idea -- hopefully that happens promptly.Anonymous User wrote:I'd imagine that something like that probably does eventually have to go through HR.
