It's probably time for this. Bonus points if you drop out before finals.

Starting to seriously freak. 2 weeks past both of my top choice callbacks. One more left, but not excited about it (in a city I don't know if I could swing).

YUP, waiting on 3 callbacks... one from 3 weeks ago and I know the hiring committee met last week and offers have already gone out... on the other hand, no rejection yet

Why drop out before finals? By that point the money's paid, may as well do the stupid exam.

In the club from CCN. Had one cb from OCI. It has been two weeks exactly since that cb, no ding yet but I told them they were my first choice early this week and still silence. So that ding is probably in the mail. Threw some hail mary emails to any firm lawyer I ever met. Am mass mailing and following up on mass mailing about four hours a day. This is fun.

Don't suck at law school exams I guess is the lesson to be taken from this. But the thing is I didn't suck per se. I didn't get any B minuses or Cs, just no As or A- either. At least I consistently wasn't worst in the class. Just sitting right in the meaty part of the bell curve. Someone will like that eventually, right? Probably not. Oh well at least I am getting lots of reruns of Its Always Sunny in today while mass mailing.

Sorry for the rant. I'm mostly a broken person by now. But don't give up everyone. We got it!

Just have to keep telling yourself someone's gonna call soon - and keep hustling to stay busy.

Cheer up, cbs go out as far as mid/late september, especially close to the 4 week deadline when half the firms realize the Harvard Law Review kid is going elsewhere.

FWIW, grades have no meaning at ccn. people here with bottom 20% grades and no work experience still get jobs (albiet much later than people with good grades and work experience)

This. Keep following up with mass-mail, screeners are still going out at many firms where people have declined offers.

Some people even get offers into early October, so by no means is the cycle over.

Dear. Mr./Ms. X:

I am writing to follow up on my application to [FIRM NAME], which I submitted a few weeks ago [via email/online application]. In the time that has passed since initially submitting my materials, [something exciting that has happened related to your experience/academics, if applicable. For example, I had accepted an externship with a federal judge for the spring semester]. I have attached a copy of my [updated] resume for your review, and want to reiterate my very strong interest in the [FIRM NAME] Summer Program.

Please let me know if I am able to provide you with any additional materials in support of my candidacy. Thank you for your time and consideration in reviewing my application materials, and I look forward to hearing from you.

Best,
YOU

Waiting on ONE callback. Also three weeks ago and I know the hiring committee gave out offers three weeks ago. This was/is my dream firm. I don't want to check my mail because I'd rather continue to dream.

OP here, same thing... the firm that handed out offers is my dream firm in my dream location.... are you going to follow up or hve you already done it?

Same as you. CCN, rejected from one CB, one CB left.
My self-confidence has dropped significantly. I am now wondering what the hell is wrong with me that everyone else is getting offers except me.
I do despise the whole law school grading system. One entire semester under one exam, which isn't even a great representation of one's ability to do well in the legal field. I had technical problems for one exam and boom... my grade drops significantly. I feel like I know the law very well, and can apply it very well. It's just, the exams I have trouble with. But that's a whole different story/thread.

My TV show of choice while mass mailing is The Office. I guess we all have one haha.

If you have bad grades then not getting lots of offers should not reduce your self confidence. The average person with bad grades at CCN will struggle. If you're confident you can apply the law then be more confident going into it. No excuse to get down. Getting down is for when you have great grades, are in your position, and think you're getting rejected for things uncontrollable traits not related to your resume and transcript.

I had no offers into the first week of October, then got three offers the same day (calls within three hours of each other). Don't lose hope.

I should be more clear
I don't have bad grades but my grades are not stellar.

But I know plenty of people below median who have more than one offer

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
