Same firm split office summer (STB)
Has anyone done a split between STBs NY office and any of the other domestic offices? If so, what was the structure (5/5, 6/4, 6/6) and did you receive offers from both offices?

yes, 7 and 5 for nyc and domestic office on west coast. offer at both. so long as you do 5 weeks in an office, you will get an offer.

Do they allow you to do this even if you're only interested in one office?

Did you have to interview for both? I think mine will be a reverse of that (interviewed with non-ny domestic office but want to split with NYC)Anonymous User wrote:yes, 7 and 5 for nyc and domestic office on west coast. offer at both. so long as you do 5 weeks in an office, you will get an offer.

Definitely if one of the offices is NY, going to depend if it's somewhere else. I think STB only usually does NY/non-NY splits (so no splitting between Palo Alto and London, or Sao Paulo and Hong Kong).Anonymous User wrote:Do they allow you to do this even if you're only interested in one office?

Thinking about doing STB NY / STB DC. Any info STB's DC office? Does it have a good rep in DC? I love the NY people, but thinking now that I may want to be in DC more. Have offer NY office next summer.

Glad to see this, thinking about it as well. Thoughts on doing this with Latham NY and another office? Typically get offers from both after SA?

similar question about weil--heard splitting a summer between two firms is almost always a guarantee no-offer from both, but if its two offices that "work closely together" of the same firm what are the pros/cons?
