Cancel Last Week of CBs (STB, GD, Boies?) Forum

Go to school outside of east-coast area and have cbs scheduled at GD, Boies and STB (all NY) next week which would be my 4th trip to NY in as many weeks. I'm thinking of canceling the trip...
I have a few offers already in hand at comparable firms, and I'm mainly interested in litigation, but want an option to try corporate at least for the summer. Thus:

- I think Boies is out because then I couldn't try Corporate.
- I think STB is out because even if I want to try corporate, litigation isn't really its strength compared to the other firms I have offers at. (Yes I know it's band 1 chambers, but that doesn't make it a core competency)
- Lastly is GD, which on paper I like a lot, but since I'm not looking at the CA or DC offices, it's probably not worth it?

I'm in a really fortunate position to be able to make this decision - sorry if this at all comes off as a humblebrag but I keep waffling back and forth on whether to go or not, it'd mean missing even more class for what looks like few gains.

If you have an offer that you're sure you would take over a CB even if you got an offer, then cancel the CB. If you're not sure, then don't cancel, and do the CB.

You should cancel imo. You have comparable offers already by every objective measure and it sounds like you would be going just in hopes of being blown away which shouldn't really happen at a CB anyway. Save yourself the stress, save the firms the money, and marginally increase the odds that someone else gets an offer that they would more seriously consider.

Go to GDC but skip the others since you seem to have stronger reasons for not wanting to go.
