What advice are you looking for? You already interviewed, and now it's out of your hands.

Perhaps the hiring partner developed laryngitis and needed to take the day off, but when he called the office, the electrical box near their building exploded.

Remember that episode of Suits where Rachel drunk-dialed Mike but he didn't get the message until days later and she was confused as to why there was a delay in response? The moral of the story is, Rachel is pretty hot and I would totally hit that.

Assume you aren't getting an offer and move on. If you get an offer somewhere else, but would prefer this place, call and let them know this and ask what their timeline for decision is.Anonymous User wrote:I had a callback at a firm over a week ago with no response yet. Advice?

This. I will also add that some firms I've interviewed with said I shouldn't expect to hear until the week after Labor Day, in order to accommodate schools with late OCI programs. Certainly not saying that this is the case for all firms, but perhaps a possibility in your case.TooOld4This wrote:Assume you aren't getting an offer and move on.
