Hi everyone,
I just wanted to get some advice/ opinions on law firms. I just went through OCI as a 2L and have gotten two offers so far. One from Sidley Austin (Palo Alto) and the other from Wilson Sonsini (Palo Alto).
I am interested in corporate law and obviously want to be in the South Bay.
Any advice for the decision making process would be appreciated. Thanks!

Sidley Austin. Wilson Sonsini has a bigtime arrogant reputation and Sidley is better in general anyway

Depends on what you want, as both are very different in terms of work variety, office size, and culture.
As someone who just did CBs with both offices this week, though, how long did you have to wait for offers from each of them?

WSGR by a long shot. Corporate law in that area, peers to WSGR are Fenwick and not Sidley... completely different ball game

As another poster said, it depends on what you are looking for.
WSGR is arguably the best corporate firm in Silicon Valley. And if they aren't, it's a tie between them, Fenwick and Cooley.
OTOH, I heard it is not the most pleasant place to work.
I didn't even know Sidley had an office in Silicon Valley.
ETA: Congratulations on some fantastic offers! I would give my left nut to work at WSGR as a corporate attorney.

Yeah, I also did not know Sidley had a SV office. Also WSGR has one of the best reputations in SV. And, like the other poster has said, supposedly isn't the best place to work but I would give my left nut to work there. The exit options in SV are supposedly great there--for whatever that's worth. And I have no idea what Sidley being better in a "general" way means to you or anyone really.
For me this would be a no-brainer. But idk what your considerations are.
