PW or Cravath for lit
Assume all else equal. Liked people at both. Really torn. Feel like I would choose Cravath for the name... but PW's also got a great name. Help please.

Paul Weiss. Its name is every bit as prestigious as Cravath for lit, and you'll have more autonomy over your career without the one-partner rotation. The idea of that seems horrible. At least in corp it's a group of partners.

Paul Weiss and it isn't even close. However, if you're anywhere near 50/50 on lit/corp, do Cravath as a good hedge.

bump... thanks. I feel like lots of people will have something to say on this. Any other thoughts? Thanks for the insight so far.

I'm biased but as a 3rd year litigation associate, I would vote PW. I think the prestige of the groups is probably indistinguishable or a slight edge to PW, and the lore of work-life balance leans heavily towards PW.

Re: PW or Cravath for lit
Cravath has effectively zero mobility between lit and corporate, the interviews and offers are separate. This actually cuts toward PW in my opinion since you could more realistically abandon ship to corporate mid summer or even potentially as a junior.Anonymous User wrote:Paul Weiss and it isn't even close.
